Oceans Week

Oceans Week is a glorious celebration and deep dive into the ocean ecosystem, when presenters come from organizations such as Greater Farallones, Pacific Beach Coalition, and Fish & Wildlife Department to teach lessons about different aspects of the ocean. Special lessons on pelicans, trout, sea turtles, squid, and crabs have all been hallmarks of this special week, with school-wide assemblies and smaller rotating workshops that engage every student. The Marine Science Institute also brings marine sea animals for a hands-on creature encounter.
